What is Managed Direct?
Managed Direct is a non-advised service provided via HFL Financial Advisers, enabling you to establish and invest pension and stocks and shares ISA capital. It is an online service with telephone support. The investment management is provided by Quilter Cheviot.
What is HFL’s Role?
Managed Direct is not run directly by HFL but is instead provided by an entirely separate company, Intelligent Money. HFL Financial Advisers do not take responsibility for the suitability of the solutions provided by Intelligent Money, however we will support you with the use of the Managed Direct service and we are available should you wish to discuss your finances in the future.
How does it work?
Managed Direct is a quick, simple and fully automated service both at the application and implementation stage as well as once your pension and/or ISA capital has been established. You will be able to monitor your invested capital online and make changes whenever you wish to.
What you need to know
Your capital will be invested, meaning that it is not guaranteed.
The value of your invested capital will fluctuate in value and can therefore fall in value.
The details of your Managed Direct investment options are available when you enter the Managed Direct website.
Please ensure that you read all the information provided by Intelligent Money before proceeding with any pension or ISA investment via the Managed Direct service.
For providing access to the Managed Direct service HFL Financial Advisers receive an ongoing fee of 0.075% per quarter, as a percentage of the value of your invested capital. This is paid to HFL by Intelligent Money but derives from deductions from your invested capital. For example, if your invested capital was valued at £10,000 the payment would be £7.50. Assuming the capital remained at a value of £10,000 over a twelve months period (for simplicity; this is extremely unlikely) HFL would receive £30 in total.
In operating the Managed Direct service Intelligent Finance will disclose information to HFL relating to you and your invested capital. This may include sensitive personal data. Should you proceed with using the Managed Direct service it will be on the understanding that you authorise HFL to receive information including sensitive personal data from Intelligent Money and to retain files and records relating to you and your invested capital.
Should you proceed with using the Managed Direct service it will be on the understanding that you authorise HFL to contact you to offer additional services which HFL believes may be of interest to you.
