Nic joined the world of the Life and Pensions industry in 1984 through a company called Provident Mutual (now lost in Aviva somewhere) and over time Nic has worked within a number of high quality organisations at various levels, and which cumulated in becoming a owner / director at HFL in 2013. His focus of work revolves around corporate pensions and individual retirement planning together with wealth management.

Nic is married to Lorraine and has one son, Benjamin. Outside the world of work and besides doing all the good family ‘stuff’, he still plays squash (albeit somewhat laboured these days!) and has keen interests in rugby union and motorsport.

Peter has worked in financial services since 1988, spending his first 18 years as a successful Account Manager with Standard Life. In 2006 he became an independent financial adviser and has since gone on to specialise in retirement planning, wealth management and inheritance tax. Peter also has a number of corporate connections that he works closely with.

Peter is a big family man and loves his sport. He enjoys running and is an avid fan of his beloved Nottingham Forest Football Club.

Peter entered the world of finance just after the Black Monday stock-market crash of 1987; recruited by a leading company at the time, Sun Life. Having worked in the independent financial advice sector in Manchester and the East Midlands, Peter became an independent financial adviser in 1998. Many of the clients that Peter looks after today are either still the same clients that he started to advise all those years ago, or the children of those clients, or even their grandchildren.

Outside of work Peter enjoys spending time with family and friends, with a holiday-home in France providing the setting for some of those very happy times.

Sally provides advice on a broad range of areas of financial planning including pensions, investments and financial protection and has achieved chartered status as a financial adviser. This advanced qualification demonstrates her ongoing commitment to professional standards as well as a high level of technical competence.

In additional to industry qualifications, Sally also has a degree in Mathematics and Sports Science from Loughborough University. Outside of work Sally enjoys keeping fit and walking her dog.

Liam has worked within Financial Services for over 7 years and joined HFL Advisers in November 2022 as an Independent Financial Advisor. Having previously worked for both smaller IFAs and a large national firm, Liam has gained valuable experience within the wealth management industry that allows him to provide holistic financial advice to his clients.

Liam holds the Chartered Insurance Institute Diploma in Financial Planning and is now working towards achieving chartered status. Outside of work, Liam enjoys spending time with friends and family, travelling and keeping active.
